Tour Plan
05:00 AM — Hotel Pickup
Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Tissamaharama at 5:00 AM sharp. Early departure maximizes wildlife sighting opportunities as animals are most active during dawn hours. Enjoy a light breakfast snack and tea in the jeep.
05:30 AM — Enter Yala National Park
Enter through the main gate and begin your safari through Block 1. Your guide will navigate through prime leopard territories, waterholes, and open grasslands. Keep your camera ready — leopard sightings often happen within the first hour.
10:00 AM — Lunch Break at Potana
Stop at the designated picnic area near Potana tank for a packed lunch. Enjoy the scenery while watching birds and sometimes elephants at the water's edge. Rest and recharge for the afternoon session.
11:00 AM — 03:00 PM — Afternoon Safari
Explore different zones of the park. Visit the coastal lagoons for crocodile and bird sightings, then head inland for sloth bear territory. Your guide will use radio communication with other jeeps to locate any big cat sightings.
04:00 PM — Return to Hotel
Exit the park and enjoy a comfortable ride back to your hotel. Arrive approximately by 5:00 PM. Your guide will share a trip summary and help you plan your next safari adventure.

Absolutely incredible experience! Our guide spotted a leopard within 30 minutes of entering the park. We also saw elephants, a sloth bear, and so many birds. The jeep was comfortable and the packed lunch was surprisingly good. Highly recommend the full day over half day — worth every penny.
